Glee」の両方に出てきたので、ちょっと気になったキレイな曲「
ジョリーン」。原曲を調べてみると…貼り付けたYouTubeが出てきて…も、ものスゴイディープインパクトだったので思わずブログにアップ。なんじゃこりゃーー！！このアメリカ人にしては珍しい5頭身（ってこともないんだろうけど、そう見える）と、明らかにカツラとわかるモリモリのブロンドヘアーと、この実がみっちりした紫のパンタロンと、カントリーのセットと、あまりにもうさんくさいMCと…もう何からどうつっこんでよいのやら…しかも余計なお世話ながら当時（1974年？）の年齢を調べたら28歳！まさかの20代！！ブヒー！
な・に・よ・り！歌詞がスゴイです。内容は美人の友達？ジョリーンに対して、「あなたは私なんかよりずっとキレイだから彼をその気にさせるのは簡単でしょうけど、どうか私の彼をとらないで。私には彼しかいないの」と懇願する歌です。ちなみに作詞・作曲はご本人。
オリビア・ニュートンジョンもカバーしていて、
そちらは可愛い感じに仕上がってますが…このオバチャン（年下だけど）がこういう歌詞を歌うと迫ってくるものがありますよ。しかも貧乏をネタにしちゃいけないと思いつつ、このドリー・パートンは12人兄弟で子供の頃は激貧のキャビン暮らしだったとか…で、そんな背景を知るとまた…切実さが増してきます…。日本では渡辺えり子がカバーしたら似合いそうだし聴いてみたい！！
